Storytellers of Faith

We are the Anglican Church of Kurri Kurri, Mt. Vincent & Weston

We work to proclaim God’s love by word and action; inviting people to explore ways of connecting more fully with God through worship and prayer, and by participating in God’s mission.

Our new playgroup meets every Tuesday morning

Reverend Kathy Trimby takes up Ministry

The Reverend Kathy Trimby was commissioned as Rector of the Parish on Wednesday 15 May in a service at St Paul’s Kurri Kurri. A strong community presence joined us in this welcome to the district.

Born in North Wales, one of three children, to a Vicarage family, Kathy attended Sunday School, sang in the choir and was a member of GFS - all whilst at school obtaining O Level and A Levels.

A degree in Religion & Ethics at the University of Wales in Lampeter, where she received her calling to Ordained Ministry. Theological Training in Salisbury followed, before she was Ordained Deacon in 1992 at St Asaph.

She served her curacy in Connah’s Quay and her first living on Halkyn Mountain. This followed her Ordination to Priesthood in 1997.

Answering God’s Call, she moved to the West of Ireland dividing time between parish and Diocesan commitments. Marriage to George in Wales had him move to Ireland

Time for a change - to the English/Welsh Border this time, 4 diverse parishes seeking to be 1 Benefice, not easy with her husband and her mum passing away but God was with her

Which brings us to now – a new calling, adventure and ministry here with you and Kathy is looking forward to the future – God’s next chapter!
